Announce holidays, events, achievements and notable historical figures in a widget.

Announcements can be made:
- One off
- Monthly
- Annually
- Good Friday
- Easter Sunday
- Easter Monday
- Monthly on the nth day (e.g. 2nd Wednesday)
- Annually on the nth day of the month (e.g. 4th Thursday November)
Announcements are created as a custom post type and can have details, an image and additional text after the image.

Integrates with To Twitter from azurecurve for automatic tweeting of announcement each time the announcement is made and a retweet after a specified amount of time.

Installation
- Download the latest release of the plugin from GitHub.
- Upload the entire zip file using the Plugins upload function in your ClassicPress admin panel.
- Activate the plugin.
- Configure relevant settings via the settings page in the admin control panel (azurecurve menu).

Events allows events such as webinars or conferences to be created via a custom post type; categories, excerpt, details, start and end dates and times and a featured image are all supported.

In the options set defaults for the widget and shortcode.

Multiple widgets can be created, each assigned to display a category; settings for title, image size and limit for number of events to list can be set per widget.

The event shortcode accepts three parameters:
- slug to select specific event.
- width to set the size of the featured image.
- height to set the size of the featured image.
Shortcode usage is [event slug="december-2021" width=150 height=150]; all parameters are optional and will use the defaults set via the settings page if not supplied.

The events shortcode accepts four parameters:
- category to restrict the output to the selected category.
- width to set the size of the featured image.
- height to set the size of the featured image.
- limit to restrict the number of events to display.
Shortcode usage is [events category="webinars" width=150 height=150 limit=5]; all parameters are optional and will use the defaults set via the settings page.

Automate the retrieval of tweets from Twitter and create posts on your ClassicPress site

From Twitter includes the following functionality;
- Search Twitter and create tweets as posts or as a Tweet custom post type.
- Specify the title and content in posts for retrieved tweets.
- Choose whether to save tweet data.
- Choose cron frequency (hourly, twice daily or daily).
- Choose how many tweets to return each time the cron runs (max 100 as per Twitter api).
- Choose whether Tweet images should be Downloaded.
Make sure that once all the settings have been configured, you enable the cron job to run on the Cron Settings tab.

This plugin is multisite compatible with each site having its own settings.

Shortcodes Everywhere will help you quickly enable shortcodes in any context on your ClassicPress website! Posts, pages, excerpts, widgets, category and tag descriptions – even user comments – you decide where you want shortcodes to run and the plugin takes care of the rest!

Enable or Disable Shortcodes

If you need to disable shortcodes from running in any given context, this plugin has got your back! Not only can you enable shortcodes to run in additional contexts, you can also disable them from running in any of those contexts, too, giving you more control than ever.
If shortcodes are present in a context where they are disabled, nothing will show up: they’re fully stripped.

Quick Setup

Setup will take less than 30 seconds – and that accounts for a 15 second break in the middle! Just check a few boxes and you’re done!

Navigate to Dashboard > Settings > Shortcodes to adjust plugin settings.
- Posts

Follows shortened links (t.co, bit.ly, etc) and WordPress’ ?p=123-style links, and expands them so that your blog post will point directly to the destination.

Installation

Install the plugin and activate it. The next time you paste a supported short URL into a post, it will be updated when the post is saved.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if the destination redirects to another link?

If the destination is another known URL shortener (ex. t.co pointing to bit.ly pointing to wp.me pointing to a blog post), it’ll keep going up to 8 levels (to avoid infinite loops!) or until it gets a URL that isn’t on the list.

How do I add a shortener to the list?

It’s not supported yet, but I plan on adding an options page for it.

I’m running on a local server and this doesn’t do anything!

Most likely your system is configured to block your local webserver
from making outgoing connections. This is a sensible default for security!
Depending on your system, it may be blocked by a local or network firewall.
If you’re running Fedora Workstation with SELinux (like I am), this will enable it:

sudo setsebool -P httpd_can_network_connect true
```

What about compatibility?

It should work going back to the classic editor and forward to the block editor. It even works on ClassicPress.

Displays the mood, music, and location fields as imported by the LiveJournal importer at the end of each post.

Description

The LiveJournal importer (Tools/Import/LiveJournal) saves LJ-specific post info to a set of custom fields. This plugin reads those fields and adds any that are present to a block at the end of the post.

Installation

Install the plugin and activate it. If you want location tags to link to Google Maps, you can find a checkbox in the Reading section of your WordPress Settings.

Frequently Asked Questions

What icons will the moods use?

In current versions of WordPress, it will use the viewer’s emoji set. On an iPhone it will use Apple’s emoji, on a Galaxy phone it will use Samsung’s emoji, etc. On desktop systems, they may use system emoji or may be converted to images using WordPress’ built-in conversion map.

On older versions of WordPress (before 4.2), most of the mood icons appear as WordPress smilies. There are a few LJ moods that don’t quite line up with the old smiley set, so I’ve mapped them directly to emoji. The icons for those moods (sleepy, thoughtful, sick, drunk, excited and their synonyms) should display on phones and modern desktop systems, but may not appear on older desktops.

How can I customize the appearance?

The text will pick up your post formatting, but if you want to change it, you can use custom CSS matching on .lj-moods-metabox

What about userpics?

That’s a little more complicated, because you need to export your userpics as well, upload them, and match the keywords. I might get to it eventually, but it’s not in my current plans.

What if I want to change the status?

You can edit the custom fields lj_current_mood, lj_current_music, and lj_current_location in the post editor.

What about compatibility?

It should work with any theme.

It’s also compatible with ClassicPress.
