Fonts

The plugin uses 4 Google Fonts: Atkinson Hyperlegible, Atkinson Hyperlegible Next, Atkinson Hyperlegible Mono and Lexend Deca.
You can add your preferred fonts using a filter linke this:

Editor

Fonts and colors can also be used in the editor. This feature can be enabled in the Customizer or using a filter:

Description

Adds a link to the ShareOpenly service at the end of your posts so that readers can easily share them to Mastodon, Bluesky, Threads and similar open social media sites. No remote scripts or data are loaded until the visitor clicks on the link.

The plugin is built for ClassicPress, but will probably work fine on WordPress too.

Notes

ShareOpenly is a service built and run by Ben Werdmuller. I just used the link format described at Add ShareOpenly links to your site.

There is a WordPress plugin that does something similar, but it detects when it’s running on ClassicPress and deactivates itself. I thought about forking it, but decided to just write my own, since I’d already done it myself with Eleventy. I did not read any of that plugin’s code except for the function that blocks running on forks — which I’m obviously not using here! — and did not reference any of it when writing this one.

Installation

Add share-classicly.zip from the latest release using your plugin dashboard, or unzip it yourself and upload the share-classicly folder to wp-content/plugins/, or (once it’s approved) install it from the ClassicPress Plugin Directory.

Then just activate it. Nothing else special is needed.

Description

Simply show or hide widgets on specified pages. Adds checkboxes to each widget to either show or hide it on specific posts, pages, archives, etc.

Change your sidebar content for different pages, categories, custom taxonomies, and WPML languages. Avoid creating multiple sidebars and duplicating widgets by adding check boxes to each widget in the admin which will either show or hide the widgets on every site page. Great for avoiding extra coding and keeping your sidebars clean.

By default, Hide on checked pages is selected with no boxes checked, so all current widgets will continue to display on all pages.

This plugin is based on Display Widgets by Stephanie Wells, but has been substantially re-written to improve performance and accessibility and to eliminate any dependency on jQuery.

[toggle style=1]content[/toggle] to use toggle in basic format; parameters are read from settings.

Two toggle styles are supported:
- Style 1 is the traditional toggle show/hide.
- Style 2 is a read more toggle.
Apply a parameter of style=1/2 to select the the type of toggle (e.g. [toggle style=2]content[/toggle]); a default parameter can be set so a style only needs to be defined if the othe style toggle is required.

The following parameters can be used for the standard toggle:
- title – default title text of the toggle.
- expand – set to 1 to display toggle open; 0 to display toggle closed. e.g. [toggle expand=1]content[/toggle]
- width – override width from settings. e.g. [toggle width=75%]content[/toggle]
- border – override border from settings. e.g. [toggle border='none']content[/toggle] or [toggle border=’1px dashed #FF0000′]content[/toggle]`
- title_color – override title color from settings. e.g. [toggle title_color='#000']content[/toggle]
- title_font – override title font family from settings. e.g. [toggle title_font='Arial, Calibri']content[/toggle]

This plugin is multisite compatible; each site can be set to use network settings or locally defined ones.

Events allows events such as webinars or conferences to be created via a custom post type; categories, excerpt, details, start and end dates and times and a featured image are all supported.

In the options set defaults for the widget and shortcode.

Multiple widgets can be created, each assigned to display a category; settings for title, image size and limit for number of events to list can be set per widget.

The event shortcode accepts three parameters:
- slug to select specific event.
- width to set the size of the featured image.
- height to set the size of the featured image.
Shortcode usage is [event slug="december-2021" width=150 height=150]; all parameters are optional and will use the defaults set via the settings page if not supplied.

The events shortcode accepts four parameters:
- category to restrict the output to the selected category.
- width to set the size of the featured image.

Displays the mood, music, and location fields as imported by the LiveJournal importer at the end of each post.

Description

The LiveJournal importer (Tools/Import/LiveJournal) saves LJ-specific post info to a set of custom fields. This plugin reads those fields and adds any that are present to a block at the end of the post.

Installation

Install the plugin and activate it. If you want location tags to link to Google Maps, you can find a checkbox in the Reading section of your WordPress Settings.

What icons will the moods use?

In current versions of WordPress, it will use the viewer’s emoji set. On an iPhone it will use Apple’s emoji, on a Galaxy phone it will use Samsung’s emoji, etc. On desktop systems, they may use system emoji or may be converted to images using WordPress’ built-in conversion map.

On older versions of WordPress (before 4.2), most of the mood icons appear as WordPress smilies. There are a few LJ moods that don’t quite line up with the old smiley set, so I’ve mapped them directly to emoji. The icons for those moods (sleepy, thoughtful, sick, drunk, excited and their synonyms) should display on phones and modern desktop systems, but may not appear on older desktops.

How can I customize the appearance?

The text will pick up your post formatting, but if you want to change it, you can use custom CSS matching on .lj-moods-metabox

What about userpics?

That’s a little more complicated, because you need to export your userpics as well, upload them, and match the keywords. I might get to it eventually, but it’s not in my current plans.

What if I want to change the status?

You can edit the custom fields lj_current_mood, lj_current_music, and lj_current_location in the post editor.

What about compatibility?

It should work with any theme.

It’s also compatible with ClassicPress.
