Description

Allows breadcrumbs to be placed before and after the content on a post, page or other public post type.

The getbreadcrumbs() function can be added to a theme template to position the breadcrumbs elsewhere on the page such as before the post heading; the [getbreadcrumbs] shortcode can also be used to place breadcrumbs.

Function usage, to avoid errors if the plugin is not active is:

Shortcode usage is [getbreadcrumbs=arrow] or [getbreadcrumbs=text] to choose between arrow and text breadcrumbs.

The plugin supports both text based and arrow breadcrumbs; to customise their appearance, target the azrcrv-b- classes from your theme or child theme’s own stylesheet.

Backward compatibility for those migrating from WordPress to ClassicPress has been maintained by retaining the azc_b_getbreadcrumbs() function.

This plugin is multisite compatible; each site will need settings to be configured in the admin dashboard.

As of version 2.0.0, breadcrumb appearance is provided by a standard stylesheet rather than CSS stored in the database and edited from Settings. Add your own CSS rules targeting the azrcrv-b- classes from your theme or child theme instead – see the Instructions tab for details.

- Fixed several strings using the wrong text domain (azc_b instead of the plugin’s own), which silently failed to translate.
- Fixed esc_html_e() being used on dynamic (non-translatable) page-title text instead of echo esc_html().
- Fixed the [getbreadcrumbs=type] shortcode-attribute parser being a fragile, undocumented hack; it now explicitly supports both [getbreadcrumbs=arrow] and [getbreadcrumbs type="arrow"].
- Fixed the getbreadcrumbs()/azc_b_getbreadcrumbs() theme functions echoing their output internally instead of returning it, which didn’t match their own documented echo getbreadcrumbs('arrow'); usage.
- Fixed a possible infinite loop if a post/page’s parent chain is ever circular, by adding a maximum recursion depth.
- Fixed the enqueued stylesheet having no version string, so browsers had no cache-busting signal across plugin updates.
- Replaced the hard-coded plugin-index tile list with a standard, auto-generated Other Plugins tab.
- Added an Instructions tab.

Remove old post revisions over the specified months old # Description While revisions can be disabled or limited in number with settings in the wp-config file, there is no way to allow for the deletion of revisions over a certain ago.

While revisions can be disabled or limited in number with settings in the wp-config file, there is no way to allow for the deletion of revisions over a certain ago. That is what this plugin allows you to do.

In the options you can set the number of months after which revisions are to be deleted. They can then be deleted at the click of a button or via a cron job running on a daily schedule.

The options also allow you to select the post types (both standard and custom) which can have revisions removed.

Removal of revisions is done using the ClassicPress function to ensure they are done correctly.

This plugin is multisite compatible, with options set on a per site basis.

The Estimated Read Time plugin for ClassicPress allows you to display expected reading times on your articles and summaries. The average person reads at 200 words per minute, so, that’s the default setting. You can change it with a simple filter to suit your own audience and content.

- Activate the plugin.
To provide the most versatile placement options, the estimated read time display is implemented with a shortcode that is designed to be placed in your theme template files. It may require some experimenting to find just the right templates for your particular theme, but you can try the content.php, single.php, archive.php, and page.php templates as a starting point.

Note that the shortcode is designed to work in templates that are in the loop, so you won’t be able to place the shortcode in, say, your header.php or footer.php files. See the examples below and place one or the other into your theme’s template file(s) where you would like the estimated read time to be displayed.

There is only a single setting, you can use this filter in a functionality plugin or functions.php file:

If you are using a theme that is a parent theme (as opposed to a child theme) you will need to be cautious about updating your theme because the update will overwrite all the theme files. To avoid this, you have several options, as follows. Options are listed in the order of preference.
1. use a child theme and add your shortcodes to your child theme’s templates, or
2. use a theme that you built yourself to avoid surprise updates, or
3. carefully copy your shortcodes out of your theme files before updating, then replacing them afterward, or
4. continue using the parent theme, but don’t update it.

Gets the content of a file from a GitHub repository and outputs using the [github-file] shortcode.

Settings allow default options, such as author, folder, filename to be specified. Additional options to allow the removal or conversion of WordPress headers in readme.txt files.

Available shortcode parameters:
- account – account on GitHub
- branch – branch to get file from
- folder – folder containing the file
- file – file to get from GitHub repository
- repository – name of GitHub repository
- startfrom – text in file to start outputting from (e.g. # Description)
- htmlastext – 1 to output HTMl as text and 0 to output as HTML
- shortcodesastext – 1 to output shortcodes as text and 0 to output as shortcode
- wordpresstitles – remove/ignore/convert
All parameters except repository can be defined as defaults in settings.

Example shortcode usage:

Output is in markdown, but use of a plugin such as Markdown by azurecurve can convert this markdown to HTML markup. The shortcode’s line breaks are preserved on the front end even without a markdown plugin installed, but markdown syntax (headings, etc.) will only be converted to actual HTML by a markdown renderer such as that plugin.

Fetched files are cached (default one hour, filterable via azrcrv_gghf_cache_ttl) so a page using this shortcode does not fetch from GitHub on every page view; use the “Clear Cached Files” button on the Settings tab after updating the source file on GitHub.

- Added a front-end stylesheet so the shortcode’s output preserves the fetched file’s line breaks (white-space: pre-wrap) by default. Previously (both before and immediately after this rewrite) the plugin shipped no front-end CSS at all, so the fetched markdown’s n line breaks were collapsed by the browser and everything ran together into a single unbroken block unless paired with a markdown-rendering plugin.
- Added markdown="1" to the shortcode’s <div class="azrcrv-gghf"> wrapper element, so that pairing this plugin with a Markdown Extra-based renderer (such as Markdown by azurecurve) actually converts the fetched file’s markdown to HTML. Without this attribute, Markdown Extra correctly treats a <div> as a self-contained block of raw HTML and does not parse markdown inside it – this is standard Markdown Extra behaviour, not a bug in the renderer.
- Fixed shortcode attribute values (account/repository/branch/folder/file) not being URL-encoded before being used to build the GitHub request URL, which could silently produce a broken request for values containing spaces or other URL-unsafe characters.
- Fixed an inefficient plugin_action_links hook so it no longer runs for every plugin on the Plugins list page (now registered against this plugin’s own plugin_action_links_{$basename} hook).
- Fixed the shared azurecurve plugin-menu list being rebuilt and written to the database on every single wp-admin page load; it’s now only rebuilt on plugin activation or update.

- Fixed a bug where the “Position Within Loop” setting was off by one post: WP_Query’s internal post counter is zero-indexed, so a setting of “5” previously injected the advert after the 6th post rather than the 5th. It now injects after the Nth post, matching the field’s description.
- Fixed a bug where the within-loop advert was not reliably scoped to the main query, unlike the before/after-loop adverts: the hook it used fires for every loop on a page (including widgets and other secondary queries), and the plugin’s only safeguard against leaking into those was an unreliable comparison against the global $wp_query object. It now checks is_main_query() directly, the same way the before/after-loop adverts already did.
- Fixed an undefined-function fatal-error risk: a network-admin save action was hooked to a function, azrcrv_li_save_network_options(), that was never actually defined anywhere in the plugin.
- Removed the multisite network-wide settings feature (Network Admin > Settings > Loop Injection and the per-site “Use Network Settings” option) – it was never really supported by ClassicPress and, on top of that, was found to be non-functional in the pre-2.0.0 plugin (the “Use Network Settings” checkbox was read from one option key but saved to a different one, and the Network Admin page had no form of its own to submit to the undefined save handler in the first place). Each site now always uses its own Settings tab.
- Fixed several admin-facing strings using the wrong translation text domain (copy-pasted from another azurecurve plugin), which meant they silently failed to translate.
- Fixed malformed markup (stray closing </em> tags with no matching opening tag) on the Settings page.
- Removed a leftover, empty (0-byte) jQuery asset that was bundled but never enqueued or used.
- Removed an empty, unused front-end stylesheet that was unconditionally enqueued on every front-end page load.
- Fixed an inefficient plugin_action_links hook so it no longer runs for every plugin on the Plugins list page.
- Replaced the hard-coded plugin menu list with a standard, auto-generated Other Plugins tab.
- Added an Instructions tab, including an explicit explanation of how “Position Within Loop” is counted.

Settings are available for:

Sidebar Login adds a useful login widget which can be used to login from in the sidebar of your ClassicPress powered blog; once a user logs in they are redirected back to the page they logged in from rather than the admin panel (this is configurable).

The following tags can be used in the widget settings for titles and links and will be replaced at runtime:
- %username% – logged in users display name
- %userid% – logged in users ID
- %firstname% – logged in users firstname
- %lastname% – logged in users lastname
- %name% – logged in users firstname and lastname
- %admin_url% – url to WP admin
- %logout_url% – logout url
- %avatar% – User Avatar
Notes
- Due to AJAX not working across different domains (see same_origin_policy), AJAX logins will be disabled if your site it non-SSL, but the FORCE_SSL_ADMIN constant is set to true. Instead it will fallback to a traditional POST.
Installation

- Scheduled tweeting of posts and pages on a randomly selected basis at a user specified date and time (each day separately configurable).
- Automatic adding of hashtags to posts and pages (save draft before manually adding any required hashtags).
- Automatic replacement of word or phrases with hashtags (for example, switch the word ClassicPress for @GetClassicPress).
- Sending of manual tweets (including tweet threads).
- Sending of scheduled tweets (including tweet threads) at a user specified date and time.
- Support for four media images attached to a tweet from posts, pages, manual and scheduled tweets.
