Provides opposite rss feed to that configured in ClassicPress.

Description

Provides opposite rss feed to that configured in ClassicPress; e.g. if ClassicPress is configured for summary then an alternative feed called detail will be created, or if ClassicPress is configured for a detailed feed then an alternative feed called summary is created.

Once active, both summary and detail feeds can be accessed using the following paths:

This plugin is multisite compatible.

Installation

  • Download the latest release of the plugin from GitHub.
  • Upload the entire zip file using the Plugins upload function in your ClassicPress admin panel.
  • Activate the plugin.
  • Review the Instructions tab on the plugin’s page (in the admin control panel’s azurecurve menu) for the feed URLs; there is nothing to configure.

  • Rebuilt to match the current azurecurve plugin architecture (namespaced code, functionality split across includes files, tabbed admin UI matching Shortcodes in Comments).
  • Fixed a critical bug where the alternate feed’s registered callback name (‘create_rss_feed’) never matched the function that was actually defined (‘azrcrv_rssf_create_rss_feed’), causing a fatal error instead of a feed on every site running the plugin.
  • Fixed rewrite rules being flushed on every single front-end and admin page load; they are now only flushed on plugin activation and deactivation.
  • Fixed the Update Manager icon/banner filters and the plugin-action-link filter being registered against generic, unscoped hook names shared with every other azurecurve plugin still on the old pattern; both are now scoped to this plugin only.
  • Fixed the shared azurecurve plugin menu being fully rebuilt and written to the database on every admin page load; it is now only rebuilt on plugin activation and upgrade, and only saved if it actually changed.
  • Refreshed the shared azurecurve plugin manifest, which had become out of date and inconsistent with other azurecurve plugins (missing several newer plugins; disagreeing retired flags).
  • Changed the plugin’s text domain from the generic, collision-prone ‘rss-feed’ to the namespaced ‘azrcrv-rssf’.
  • Increased minimum required PHP version to 8.2.
  • Added an uninstall.php for structural parity with the rest of the azurecurve plugin family (this plugin has no plugin-specific option to remove).
  • Update readme.md and remove readme.txt (not required for ClassicPress).
  • Update azurecurve menu.
